Working With Schools

Anteros is well-placed to support and/or deliver bespoke arts courses and workshops for young people and school/college groups. The Anteros programme is shaped by professional artists, along with a portfolio of specialist tutors to offer tailor-made packages. Workshops and courses can take place at either of our venues (in Norwich or Bergh Apton) or at a school/existing workplace.

Hands-on activities may introduce talented students to etching, ceramic work, exploring colour mixing, tonal awareness, techniques of oil painting, scraffito to air brushing, sponge work, mixed media as well as the skill of portraiture. At the same time the courses introduce students to professionals of the art industry to open wider conversation about careers and direction in the arts.

The Anteros team can also deliver and source lectures. They could be on fine art, a particular period, a school of artists or an individual artist may be chosen as a theme. This theme may then be extended to explore a particular artist's technique; for example, the work of Monet or Van Gogh. The day may consist of going out from the Centre to paint waterlillies or undertake al fresco landscape or seascape work.

The Anteros team is happy to work with heads of art to fulfil particular milestones of their students' development.
