Community

Those offering particular skills in the arts attracted to the centre will be expected to participate in a youth development programme that will be attached to the Centre. This programme will liaise with local schools and further a field in order to expose those students interested in taking art forward to different ideas and opportunities. In time it is hoped that recognised courses for students would develop in order that an academy type environment evolve.


The Centre will also offer a place for those who are retired with skills to offer.


The Anteros Centre intends to develop an out reach programme to local business. The aim of this programme is to allow those in stressful and focussed employment to come to the Anteros Centre and be introduced to the benefits of creative art. This introduction may take the form of management specific courses within a team building framework.


Finally in order to bring new ideas to the Anteros Centre and in order to create a focus; it is anticipated that there will be an artist in residence. The resident artist will offer particular skills and also have the opportunity to exhibit their work as well as participate in the youth programme.
